GLOBAL DE&I - INCLUSION ON LOCAL PREMISSES - MARKET-SPECIFIC DEI STRATEGIES
What should we be aware of when implementing DEI strategies locally in different markets?
What are our eventual blind spots and cultural biases – from a Danish point of view – in terms of legal framework and cultural and societal norms in international markets?
These are some of the questions that Mikkel, Minna and Signe have researched for an international company headquartered in Denmark and with offices in 35 different countries.
We found so many interesting findings that we would love to share with other international companies. Understanding local conditions, cultural norms, societal acceptance and legal framework in relation to diversity parameters such as gender, LGBT+, Ethnicity, Culture and Religion, Age and life Stages, Disabilities etc is highly relevant for international companies wanting to take DEI seriously on their global markets.
What can be seen in one country as an inclusive action for a minority group, might be perceived as exposing in another – or even against the law – which might end up having consequences for individuals that are very opposite to what was the intention.
It’s crucial to be conscious of our cultural biases when developing DEI strategies globally!

Cognitive Diversity and data based DE&I-strategies - The Path to More Innovation and Well-being:
Join us to hear why we believe that inclusion of diversity has the best conditions when based on valid data made internally in the organisation. Get an introduction to the concept of cognitive diversity and how it can drive innovation and well-being in your organization. We will make an interactive session where you will face your own biases, get insight about new research on cognitive diversity and take a couple of tools to more inclusive behaviour in your everyday working life. We will also discuss our INCLUSION MEASUREMENT – DiversityDiagnostics (DiDi), which we have conducted for several major Danish organizations/departments and universities. We believe that a data-driven survey of strengths and challenges in each organization is the best starting point for developing a targeted DE&I strategy that creates real inclusion.
