Diversity and inclusion: Unconscious bias

Spot your unconscious biases

Very few people deliberately exclude others. Yet it often happens that some individuals are left out or not fully included in the workplace—not out of ill intent, but as a consequence of the unconscious biases we all carry.

Diversity and inclusion

Become aware of our unconscious bias

Unconscious biases are the automatic assumptions and beliefs that influence our decisions, behavior and communication - without us necessarily noticing it ourselves.

By becoming aware of our unconscious biases, we can understand how we – often unintentionally – come to act in ways that are not inclusive or that are experienced as outright exclusionary.

It is only when we acknowledge and actively work with these patterns that we can truly act in a more bias-aware way—and thereby ensure that all our colleagues are included in the various processes of our daily work.

Our unconscious bias training provides you with both knowledge and practical tools to identify, understand, and address behaviors that stem from individual or group unconscious biases. During the workshop, we also focus on translating these insights into real change in everyday work life.

What to expect

The training is practical, engaging, and designed to challenge your own biases and reactions. Through interactive exercises and reflection, you will encounter situations where bias often arises. This understanding provides insight into how you can respond in a more bias-aware and inclusive way. The goal is not to “eliminate” bias (which is impossible) but to learn to recognize it, account for it, and minimize its negative impact.

You should choose this training if you

  • Want to create a culture where employees and leaders are aware of their own biases and act in a bias-conscious manner in specific work contexts.
